I may be out of touch for a lot longer
So now that SBC admits that I have a phone line (a week after dial tone) they will graciously allow the DSL installation as early as the TWENTIETH.
I don’t remember broadband installation taking this long since the days of ISDN, and that required a team of specialists to show up onsite.
All my email is streaming into the void, all my mailing lists are dead and down, it’s all fuxx0red. Don’t bother emailing me unless you know one of my s00per-seekrit email addresses.
Bah. THIS IS WHY I STARTED CALLING THE COMPANIES INVOLVED SIX WEEKS AHEAD OF TIME, AND ALLOWED A FULL WEEK FOR TRANSITION. STILL NOT ENOUGH, WAS IT?
In order to do this transition, I would have had to have disconnected the previous occupant’s service two weeks before they moved out. There’s GOT to be a better way. SBC, you suck.
